Commonly mispelled as Bugatti Varon the correct name for this superb automobile is the Bugatti Veyron (italicized for emphasis).
The Veyron 16.4 is named after the famous race car driver and winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans, Pierre Veyron (1 October 1903 – 1970). Veyron, a Grand Prix motor racing driver from 1933 until 1953, won the Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti comapany driving a Bugatti Type 57.
